These terms govern your use of the Fret app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are younger than 16 but at least 13, you may use Fret only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
When you open the app you choose how to sign in: as a guest, with a Google account, or with an email address and password. A guest account is tied to your installation, so it does not survive a reinstall or a change of phone — linking an email address or a Google account is what keeps your favourites and your own arrangements. You are responsible for what happens through your account on your device, and for keeping your password to yourself.
Fret shows chord arrangements and lyrics for songs. An arrangement is somebody's interpretation of how a song is played — most of them were written by other people, not by us, and they may be incomplete, in the wrong key, or simply wrong. Treat them as a starting point rather than as an authoritative score. We do not promise that any particular song is in the app, or that it will stay there: material is removed when a rights holder asks us to.

Everything you add to Fret is visible to other people: chord arrangements, comments, your username, avatar and bio. None of it may contain:
Content that breaks these rules may be removed and the account behind it suspended or deleted. Use the report button on a song, an arrangement, a comment or a profile to flag anything that does.
An arrangement or comment you write stays yours. To run the service, you grant us the right to store it and to show it to other users of the app for as long as your account exists. You keep the right to delete it.
Lyrics and chord arrangements can be protected by copyright, and much of the material in Fret was added by users or imported from public sources on the internet rather than licensed by us. If you hold rights in a song and want it taken down, Copyright complaints explains what to send and what happens next. We remove material we are asked to remove, and we close the accounts of people who repeatedly post material that is not theirs to post.
Fret is free. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
You may have your account deleted at any time, as described on Delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or the law.
The app is provided as it is. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. In other cases we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, and then only for the damage typically foreseeable in such a contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act is unaffected.
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
